"Atlas' parents were Iapetus and Clymene, but his siblings are just as famous. His brother is none other than Prometheus. Atlas also had a brief encounter with Heracles, who held the skies for a bit so that Atlas could fetch the golden apples from the garden of the Hesperides. You can see them together in this illustration, showing Heracles helping Atlas."

"When we love someone, we secretly hope they will never change. But is it possible to enjoy the fruits of love without accepting its everchanging nature? Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon, had a similar dilemma. She fell in love with Endymion, a beautiful young man. Due to her divine nature and duties, she could only see him at night, when he was deep asleep. Enchanted by his beauty, Selene wished that he stayed forever young. Zeus granted that wish, but this also meant Endymion would never wake up from his slumber. Selene had a whole eternity to watch him every night, but she could never enjoy his company while he was awake and aware of her presence. "

"Heracles (Or Hercules) was the biggest hero that Ancient Greece has ever had, but apart from his heroic deeds, you can see that his life was rather tragic. He married Megara, the daughter of King Creon. Together, they had several children, but Hera wanted to spoil his happiness since he was Zeus' illegitimate son. She managed to make Heracles go mad for a short period of time, but long enough to kill his wife and children in that fit of madness."
